Austin was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up in St.Charles County. He started at Winghaven Country Club as the Executive Chef during the summer of 2022. Austin's passion for cooking started with his family from both Louisiana and Texas. With southern roots he enjoys putting his own spin on casual classics as well as fine dining cuisines. He started his career with an apprenticeship at The Gatesworth in St.Louis while attending culinary school at St.Louis Community College. While Austin's apprenticeship he competed in numerous competitions receiving gold, silver, and bronze medals in different categories. He was Jr. Chef of the Year 2012 and was on a culinary team that finished 3rd in the United States with a gold medal. From there he was sous chef at Meadowbrook Country Club for 5 years. During of which Austin also owned The Muddled Pig restaurant in Maplewood. He greets every day with the challenge of finding new and exciting ways to increase membership satisfaction.
