History

WingHaven Country Club, established in 1999, is the crown jewel centerpiece of the master planned development known as WingHaven.  The Country Club is a distinguished family-oriented club located just minutes west from the vibrant Chesterfield Valley area.  The original plan was to create a club that had that “home away from home” neighborhood feel where there was something for everyone, whether that be a beautiful Nicklaus Design course, a day at the pool with friends, or a relaxing dinner on the patio watching the last few players play in on the 18th hole.

WingHaven is fortunate with a solid foundation of members and a surrounding community supporting the Club's growth. Members, some who have been here since WingHaven opened, frequently say they enjoy the feel of the club; casual, friendly, yet with a definite sense of pride of membership.  This holds true by the support of fun and legendary member social events.

Since WingHaven Country Club was acquired by a new ownership group, Dardenne Creek Partners, LLC, in 2010, there has been a sense of excitement with the renovations and construction in the Clubhouse. In June of 2011, WingHaven finished construction of a new 1,500 square foot deck overlooking the beautiful 18th green and fairway.  It is the place to be as the westward sun sets.  Flowing from the deck area to the interior of the building, sits Jack's 18.  This new restaurant is able to seat over 100 guests for entertaining friends or business associates.  On the ground level, the 2,500 square foot patio transforms into a Four Seasons room that is able to comfortably seat up to 250 people.  This room is ideal for weddings and banquets with expansive views of our beautiful WingHaven golf course.  A very tasteful upgrade has been completed to our entrance with additional landscaping including a new stone and granite sign displaying our distinctive club logo.  The exterior of the building received a fresh facelift with an attractive new paint color.

For the golfer in the family, our Nicklaus Design golf course is the best kept secret in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.  Nicklaus Design has been well recognized for their quality golf course layouts constructed throughout the world.  WingHaven Country Club ranks as one of their best, providing Members and Guests a golf experience that is easily enjoyed over and again.  The course can play as long as 7,230 yards from the Gold tees, however, offers a total of five different teeing areas to allow all skill levels a chance to challenge themselves appropriately.  When strategizing on what style of layout to design, the owners of WingHaven, in cooperation with Nicklaus Design, focused on a layout that provided for top level competitive golf while emphasizing playability for the average golfer.  Several greens are designed in an amphitheater setting, which creates viewing space for spectators.  The fairway landing areas throughout the course are generous; however the approach shots are more demanding.  Several approach shots require negotiating a Nicklaus Design signature deep bunker or water hazard.  Golfweek Magazine, Ranked WingHaven 4th in Missouri - "Places you can play" (2006) Golfweek Magazine, Ranked  WingHaven 5th in Missouri - "Places you can play" (2005).  WingHaven has played host to several prestigious Professional and Amateur Championships over the years.

From past to present, there has been and will always be something for everyone at WingHaven. We have an outstanding golf course, Men’s and Ladies’ Golf Organizations, and the Men’s game on Thursdays and Saturdays is a great way to bond with fellow members. The family can swim and relax at our junior Olympic size pool, or play some tennis. There are over 180 kids involved in the junior golf academy under the direction of our respected Golf Professional Staff.  WingHaven also has an outstanding swim team. The clubs social calendar is full of events for kids and adults throughout the year.

WingHaven Country Club has a proud history. The strength of WingHaven is in its membership.
