Ladies Golf Organization (LGO)
The goal of the LGO is to promote the game of golf by facilitating golf events and league play that encourage both social and competitive aspects of the game. While striving to increase participation, members are expected to behave in a manner that promotes diversity, camaraderie, and attainment of personal golf goals.
Membership in the LGO is open to all female members of the Club that are at least 18 years of age. Members are able to join the LGO at any time during the calendar year.Anyone qualified to become a member may join the LGO by the payment of dues. The annual dues of $60, or an amount determined by the LGO Board, will provide membership for the period of March 1 to February 28 and shall be paid to the Club.
The LGO is governed by a Board that is made up of 7 members of the club and 2 staff members. The LGO Board will be organized in the following manner: President, Vice President(s) (Communication, Events, and Membership), Secretary, Treasurer and Past President.
Primary Focus of the LGO
-Planning and administering of events such as Ladies Opening Day, Ladies Closing Day, the annual Member Guest, Member Member and Couples Events.
-Planning and promotion of weekly games for the PM 9-holers on Wednesdays, the AM 18-holers on Thursdays and the AM 9-holers on Thursdays.
-Mentoring newer golfers to the game. The Mentor Program is a vital component of the LGO and is designed to provide guidance and education to those women that are newer to the game and/or the Club.
-Provide an environment for female members of the club to learn, develop and improve their golf game while fostering friendships and camaraderie.
