| (O'Fallon, MO) -
The ladies of WingHaven
lead Bogey Hills in the forth annual Challenge. Day
one was played at Bogey where the WHCC team took a
12 stroke lead. The format is 12 two-lady team
playing best ball format. Weather then rained out
the second and final round schedule for Sunday at
WingHaven Country Club. The final round has
been rescheduled for October 8 pending the team from
Bogey Hills being available. Should Bogey
Hills not be available, WingHaven will be declared
the 2006 winners. Spectators are welcome to attend
and cheer the WHCC ladies on to their very first
Victory!
The teams compete 18
holes at each course. Each day the 10 best net
score are totaled creating a team score for the 36
holes. WingHaven has never won in the three years
of the competition. Kathy Linsin and Nancy
Sebastian lead the way with a score of 58! Karen
Decker with partner Tonya Nickel and Liz Crawford
and partner Karen Rothery both shot 60. The Bogey
Hills best score was a 61.
After day 1 the WHCC
team returned to the club for a celebration and
strategy planning session. Since the
Celebration lasted late into the evening, the rained
may have saved the WHCC ladies from a home course
down fall.
